Sun Inn win N.W.C.F.A. Sunday Challenge Cup
Penbont Celts F.C. failed for the second season in a row to win the N.W.C.F.A. Sunday Challenge Cup when they were beaten by Sun Inn F.C. 4 - 3 after extra time, at Glan Conwy F.C.
Penbont Celts F.C. took the lead after 12 minutes of the first half and looked to be on course to lift the Cup only for Sun Inn F.C. to level the tie with a late equaliser in the 88 minute to send the tie into extra time.
Sun Inn F.C. took the lead in the 98 minute and looked to secure the win with a third goal immediately after the re-start of the second half of extra time, only for Penbont Celts F.C. to pull a goal back in the 115 minute. Penbont Celts F.C. then conceded a fourth goal within a minute of the re-start. Penbont Celts F.C. scored their third goal with only two minutes remaining on the clock, but they were unable to find a fourth goal to take the match to penalties.
