sees Eifion Morris of Amlwch nominated
Eifion Morris is a vital member of both Amlwch Town Juniors and Amlwch Town FC. Without the countless hours he puts in every week grassroots football in Amlwch would be much worse off. He currently coaches the Amlwch Town Junior Under 14’s, imparting his vast knowledge of football on the youth players. He has also taken up the position of Assistant Manager to both the Men’s and Ladies teams. Eifion’s dedication to the club doesn’t stop there and also show off his green fingers by being the head groundsman at two separate grounds maintaining the playing surfaces and marking out the pitch on match days.
As you will be aware the Welsh Football Trust have been running the McDonald’s Community Football Awards. Whereas most national awards are decided by our national panel, the Volunteer of the Year award runs differently to all other regional categories in that it now becomes the ‘People’s Award’. Profiles of all winners are now available on the Welsh Football Trust website and voting is open to the public via this link http://www.welshfootballtrust.org.uk/PeoplesAwards.ink. This will run until midnight on Friday 11th September. The winner of the People’s Award will then be named at the 2015 Community Football Awards National Ceremony on Tuesday 13th October at the Cardiff City Stadium.
If you could actively encourage and promote this within your area associations to try to generate as many votes as possible it would be much appreciated by both those nominated and the Welsh Football Trust.
