It is the best option the club could have hoped for after the decision to end 35 years in association with the English FA.
The FA of Wales have confirmed that Colwyn Bay FC will be placed in Tier Two of the Welsh Pyramid system next season, known as the 'Championship North'.
Club Officials stated it is the best option the club could have hoped for after the decision to end 35 years in England on financial grounds.
Manager Craig Hogg commented: "We are pleased to have been allocated a place in Tier 2 next season and look forward to the challenge ahead.
"I know first hand how difficult and competitive that level of domestic football is in Wales and nothing will be taken for granted.
"There are some excellent clubs, players, managers and coaches in that league and we know exactly what we will be up against, but the road ahead is now clear for the club and we re-join Welsh football with much excitement."
The immediate task is to complete the Evo-stik West season and the manager added: "We have seven games left and as a dressing room we want to finish as high within the top 10 as we can."
The new set up at this level next season will potentially have several big NWCFA Clubs involved that will include Prestatyn Town FC, Rhyl FC, Denbigh FC, Llandudno FC, Porthmadog FC, Bangor City FC, Conwy Borough FC and with Colwyn Bay FC now in the mix, local fans will look forward to many interesting local derbies on the horizon.
