MESSAGE FROM THE FAW REFEREES DEPARTMENT

During Refereeing sessions with WPWL (Welsh Premier Women’s League) clubs this season, one common theme that was highlighted is the need for more female Referees in the game. This is something that has been touched upon in the sessions as a key priority and high on objectives for 2019.

The FAW is very pleased to announce that it will be running a Female only Referees course with a practical session taking place on 12th May 2019 at Dragon Park, Newport. The practical session will follow successful completion of the on-line modules. They will also be running a course at the new Colliers Park in Wrexham towards the end of the summer/start of next season.

I sincerely hope that by working together we can grow the number of female referees officiating in the game across Wales.
