ADVICE ABOUT CLUB TRAINING SESSIONS & INSURANCE

The FAW would like to clarify advice with regards to club training sessions.
Any decision regarding training is a matter for a club and/or training facility provider, but the public health guidelines must be followed at all times.
The FAW's insurance providers - Bluefin - have advised the following:
"If a player suffered an injury from an accident during a training session or match the policy will respond accordingly.
"If a player is absent from work as a result of contracting coronavirus they would not be covered under the FAW personal accident policy for any benefits including loss of earnings.
"The policy in place does not extend for claims related to sickness; it will only respond in relation to injuries sustained through an accident in training/playing or traveling to and from such sessions."
