NWCFA suffer lose against NEWFA

NWCFA travelled to The Rock, home of Cefn Druids to play their second match in their FAW Regions Cup campaign, against NEWFA.

The team looked lively from the kick-off only to be dealt a blow on 12 minutes when NEWFA took the lead, which was against the run of play.

After a period of NEWFA pressure the Coast regained their confidence and finished the half stronger, but were denied an equaliser on a number of occasions by the NEWFA keeper.

The Coast started the second half the same way as they finished the first but failed to capitalise on the chances created due to some poor decision making and last ditch defending.

On 75 minutes and against the run of play NEWFA doubled their advantage through James Haynes. NEWFA kept the Coast at bay and held on for the final fifteen minutes to take all three points.
