NWCFA Junior Challenge Cup Final - 20th May 2017

Bro Goronwy 2 - 0 Waunfawr

Bro Goronwy claimed the NWCFA Junior Challenge Cup for only the second time in their history at a wind swept Holyhead Hotspur FC Stadium when they beat Gwynedd League rivals, Waunfawr, by two goals to nil.

The first half proved to be an even contest with both sides failing to capitalise on the limited attempts at goal. half time 0 - 0.

The second half began as the first finished and appeared to be heading for extra time until the 85th minute when Bro Goronwy were awarded a penalty which was duly converted by Graham Jones. Bro Goronwy secured the win with a second goal in stoppage time, scored by Andy Williams.
