North Wales Coast FA v Central Wales FA

Mark Orme and is team secured their first win in the opening match of the current FAW Regions Cup campaign at a cold and windy Y Morfa Stadium, the home of Conwy Borough FC.

CWFA took the lead when David Anthony scored in the first five minutes. The Coast fought back to equalise on ten minutes through Penmaenmawr Phoenix striker Daniel Williams. Amlwch Town’s Jack Carter then put the Coast ahead on 22 minutes only for David Anthony to score his second goal for CWFA from the penalty spot, the teams went in at half time with the score tied at 2 – 2.

The second half proved to be a very closely fought encounter which either side could have won, and with only five minutes remaining Mochdre Sport’s Kai Davies scored with a header to secure the win for the Coast.

The NWCFA will play their next match away against NEWFA on a date to be agreed in early April 2017, full details will be issued in due course.
