Memorandum concerning Schoolboys/School Children and School Games
One of the most important aspects in school is the opportunity they afford of developing a boy’s sense of loyalty and honour. It is, therefore, of concern when interest in games outside the school conflict with a boy’s loyalty to his school and/or school’s organisation activities.
1. Players of school age not registered in the Programme for Excellence whilst a boy remains on the roll of a recognised school, priority must at all times be given to school or school organisation activities, in accordance with the recommendation of the Memorandum Schoolboys and School Games published by the Football Association of Wales from time to time.
2. An outside club or organisation should consult the Head teacher before selecting any schoolboy to play for a term and should accept the Head teacher’s decision on these matters. Head teachers of schools should not restrain boys, who are not selected for school games of any kind, from playing for an outside organisation during their free time.
3. Junior players under the age of 16 years shall only play within their own domestic area; any exception is to be approved by the North Wales Coast Football Association
